Appointments

Practice Hours

Monday – Friday:  08:00 – 17:00
(Closed for cleaning 12:30 – 13:00)
Saturday: 09:00 – 12:00
Sunday and public holidays: Closed

These times may vary at short notice, depending on doctor availability.

  • The phones are open from 8am on weekdays and from 9am on Saturdays.
  • Our reception desk and phones are unattended between 12:30 and 13:00 while our reception staff clean the clinic ready for the afternoon session.
  • For home visits please phone before 10am. Home visits may not be with your usual doctor
  • Our after hours locum service can be contacted on 137425

In a medical emergency, including experiencing chest pains, call 000

Patients can ask to see their usual doctor when making appointments. If that doctor is unavailable, reception staff will offer an appointment with another doctor or will make an appointment for their regular doctor when next available.

If you do not have an appointment we will offer you the next available appointment.  This will not necessarily be on that day, nor with your preferred doctor.

If you come after an accident or in an emergency, our nurses will triage you and recommend a course of action. If they think you should see a doctor you will be seen as a priority

A standard consultation is 10 minutes. If you need a longer appointment for complex consultations or for forms to be filled in please inform reception staff and they will arrange a double appointment.

Home visits can be arranged in Reservoir, Preston and Kingsbury. If you live outside these areas, we may offer our locum service. Please remember that home visits are time consuming and often medical care is better given at the surgery where we have access to all our equipment and services. If you require a home visit please call before 10:00. Please be aware that your preferred doctor may not be available for a home visit.

FEES

Schedule of fees:

* Short: $55 (rebate $19.60)
* up to 20 minutes: $85 (rebate $42.85)
* up to 40 minutes: $135 (rebate $82.90)
* up to 60 minutes: $210 (rebate $122.15)
*over 60 minutes:  $260 (rebate $197.90)

Saturdays incur a $15 supplement

We only bulk bill new patient appointments for children under 16, people 75 and older with a healthcare card and holders of DVA cards. We do not have new patient appointments on Saturdays

 Mental Health fees

 Long consultation: $160 (rebate $103.70)
Standard consultation $130 (rebate $81.70)

 

 

We are a mixed billing practice.
We bulk bill:

  • Children under 16
  • Adults with DVA, Health Care or Pension cards
  • Care plans
  • Over 75 health assessments
  • 45-49 y/o health assessments
  • Some procedures carry an out of pocket expense which will be discussed with the doctor prior to the treatment
